FIRE BAN IN BC

Post by Admin on Fri Jul 10, 2015 1:57 pm

So This will make evenings less romantic. I have a couple of solar Lanterns, but we will not have a way to stay warm at night by the fire, so everyone will need to bring a warm hoodie and track pants or something to stay warm at night.

Effective at noon on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, the existing campfire ban in the Coastal Fire Centre was expanded to cover all areas within the fire centre's jurisdiction, including the "Fog Zone", to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect public safety.

This ban does not apply to portable cooking stoves or campfire apparatus that are ULC or CSA approved, and use gas, propane, liquid fuels or briquettes, with a flame length of 15 centimetres or less.

Fireworks, burning barrels or cages, Tiki torches, sky lanterns, and the use of air curtain burners (forced air burner systems)are prohibited.
